About the statue:
Lakshmi is the Hindu Goddess of wealth, prosperity and fortune. She is holding two lotus flowers in her top right and left hands which are symbols of beauty, fertility, and prosperity. Her other two hands are in the Abhaya "fear not" and Varada "boon granting" mudras with both hands having a chakra carved into the palms.
Lakshmi is seated on the lotus base. Lotus indicates the symbol of detachment from worldly bonding yet dwelling in the same world.
Detachment and evolution is the message of this poetic symbol.
Made from a single stone, the garland which runs through her neck until the base of the floral bottom is carved from the same stone of the statue. The relief is seen through her padmasana posture.
