The Boy With A Dream
If someone had told me years ago that I would build a sculpture company, I probably wouldn't have believed them.
Art has always been part of my life. After completing Fine Arts, I explored creativity in every way I could. I worked as a teacher, illustrator, roto artist, 3D model artist, and later as a photographer and filmmaker. Through Arun Titan Studio, I spent more than a decade creating documentary-style commercials, photographing inspiring personalities like A.R. Rahman, and telling stories through visuals.
Every project taught me one thing - stories have the power to move people.
Then the pandemic arrived.
Everything around me slowed down, giving me time to reflect. Around that time, my mentor, Chandru Gurusamy Sir, gifted me a miniature sculpture of Thanthai Periyar after a workshop. It looked simple, but it changed the way I saw art forever.
I realized that sculptures could preserve history, celebrate culture, inspire people, and become part of everyday life. That single thought became the seed of SILAII.
I never wanted to build just another company. I wanted to build a brand that makes meaningful art accessible to everyone, creates opportunities for artists, and leaves behind something that outlives all of us.
When people ask me about my biggest achievement, I don't think about the sculptures we've created or the milestones we've reached.
I think about the people who chose to believe in this dream.
SILAII exists because of them.
